Dr. Catanzarite is the founding partner of San Diego Perinatal Center. He has special expertise in first trimester screening ultrasound and echocardiography. He is also interested in preterm birth prevention and caring for pregnant woman over 45 and those with congenital heart disease. His current research foci include optimizing care for women with vasa previa or abnormalities of the placenta or umbilical cord. Dr. Catanzarite received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and a Ph.D. from the University of California Berkeley. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He speaks conversational Spanish and Russian.
